Blinn names 2,203 students to its spring 2021 chancellor's and deans' scholars lists
1,033 students earn Chancellor's Scholar honors with GPAs of at least 3.75

The Blinn College District has named 2,203 students to its academic honors lists for the spring 2021 semester.
Blinn named 1,033 students to its Chancellor’s Scholars List and 1,170 to the Deans’ Scholars List. To be named a Chancellor’s Scholar, students must earn a 3.75 GPA, complete at least 12 credit hours, and pass all their courses. Students must attain a 3.25 GPA, complete at least 12 credit hours, and pass all their courses to earn Deans’ Scholar recognition.
“These students demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication during the spring semester and it is an honor to recognize them for their accomplishments,” said Dr. Mary Hensley, Chancellor of the Blinn College District. “We look forward to seeing all that these students will achieve in the years to come.”
Blinn’s honorees came from across the State of Texas and beyond, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Mexico, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nigeria, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, South Africa, South Carolina, Tennessee, the United Arab Emirates, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, D.C.

Students can apply to Blinn via the GoApplyTexas.org application and, upon admission, register for classes at https://my.blinn.edu. Blinn recommends that all students speak to an academic advisor prior to registering for classes. Students can chat online with a Blinn admissions specialist between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at www.blinn.edu/admissions and can call Enrollment Services at 979-830-4800.
Blinn’s academic transfer rate is the highest in the state and Blinn has partnered with Texas A&M University to develop pioneering co-enrollment programs such as the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program, Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn, and the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham. As a member of the RELLIS Academic Alliance, Blinn offers courses at The Texas A&M University System’s RELLIS Campus that transfer seamlessly into the four-year bachelor’s degree programs offered by The Texas A&M University System regional universities also located onsite. According to data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s CollegeForAllTexans.com, out-of-district Blinn students save 44% in tuition and fees compared to in-state residents at the average Texas public university.
