Intelligent.com, a trusted resource for program rankings and higher education planning, has recognized the Blinn College District’s Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Small Business Management as the best online small business management degree in the south.

Blinn ranked No. 2 in the nation behind only the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

“We are proud to offer cutting-edge, affordable, and accessible programs to students interested in pursuing careers in business administration and management,” said Dr. Charles M. Smith, Dean of Business and Mathematics. “Our experienced faculty are committed to preparing the next generation of emerging small business professionals and industry leaders through a curriculum that combines traditional academic coursework with workforce training that may be completed online or on campus, making our program accessible to students near and far.”

Blinn offers students a 30-credit-hour Level-2 certificate and 60-credit-hour AAS degree in small business management, and students can earn the certificate as they pursue the AAS degree. Both awards provide business management training for entry into the workforce or to enhance a manager’s existing skills. With courses in accounting, business principles, computing, personal finance, management, business communications, business law, marketing, human resources management, and entrepreneurship, students gain an in-depth understanding of how to operate a small business and prepare for career opportunities in entrepreneurship, management, and related fields.

Both the AAS degree and the Level 2 certificate are offered online and on the Brenham and Bryan campuses.
