Blinn’s Seidenberger, Zimprich win top individual honors at State Fair of Texas
Blinn’s sophomore livestock judging team places third, freshmen are second in their respective divisions.

Blinn College livestock judging teams showcased their skill at the State Fair of Texas with standout performances by individual competitors and impressive team placements in the sophomore and freshman divisions.
Blinn placed third with 4,612 points in the sophomore competition, and its freshman team was second with 4,242 points in the novice division Monday in Dallas.
Owen Seidenberger topped the pro division and Paige Zimprich led the novice competition. Seidenberger was first in swine and reasons, second in sheep/goats, and fifth in cattle. Zimprich was second in swine, fourth in cattle, sixth in reasons, and 14 th in sheep/goats.
In the team competition, Blinn’s sophomore squad was second in reasons and third in cattle, sheep/goats, and swine. The freshman team topped the reasons and swine competitions, placed third in sheep/goats, and finished fourth in cattle.
In the sophomore individual competition, Lane Hogan was seventh, Lane Higbie was 20 th, and Shelby Cones was 21 st. Hogan was fourth in sheep/goats, fifth in swine, and 13 th in reasons. Higbie was seventh in cattle, eighth in reasons, and 19 th in swine.
Cones finished third in cattle and 20 th in reasons, Cole Monroe placed 12 th in swine, and Landon Kelley was 13 th in swine.
In the individual freshman competition, Kaleigh Conant was third overall, Kenna Schram placed fifth, Jhett West was sixth, and Sage Schenk was 11 th.
Conant was third in cattle; Schram was second in reasons, fourth in swine, and 11 th in sheep/goats; West was fourth in reasons and sheep/goats, 12 th in cattle, and 17 th in swine; Schenk placed ninth in sheep/goats; Madison Mutina was fifth in cattle; Carolyne Turner was 10 th in reasons and third in swine; Jenna Lindig was ninth in swine and 14 th in reasons; Ryleigh Gilfoil was 15 th in reasons and 17 th in sheep/goats; Luke Domingue was 18 th in sheep/goats; and Ian Heath placed 16 th in swine.
The livestock judging team is part of Blinn’s Agricultural Sciences Program, which has one of the most active extracurricular programs in the state. Blinn offers agriculture classes on all its campuses, with the W.J. “Bill” Rankin Agricultural Complex on the Brenham Campus serving as the program’s headquarters.
