Letter to Applicants

Dear Candidate:

Thank you for your interest in the Blinn Veterinary Technology Program – Traditional Track. This program is a two-year program within the Blinn College Division of Natural & Physical Sciences, and new classes are accepted at the beginning of each Fall semester. Upon successful completion of the program, an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree will be conferred. We will only be accepting applications electronically through Microsoft Forms. Please DO NOT SUBMIT THIS DOCUMENT. It is for preparation purposes only.

First, you will find an Admission Criteria checklist. This checklist outlines the requirements that must be met before applying to the Veterinary Technology Program. You will also find an Admission Documents checklist, which lists all necessary documents required for your packet submission. Please review all information carefully prior to completing your online packet.

A complete application to Blinn College, including unofficial transcripts from all schools, is required before applying to the Veterinary Technology Program. Official transcripts should be sent directly to Blinn College.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 15, 2026. Failure to meet this deadline and/or submission of an incomplete application packet will disqualify the applicant from the selection process. References and supervisors of veterinary experience will have until May 15, 2026 to submit documentation.

Qualified applicants will be scheduled for a video-conference interview. Accepted applicants must attend a mandatory orientation prior to the Fall semester and must submit proof of immunizations (Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Rabies) and a criminal background check.

For questions, visit http://www.blinn.edu/veterinary-technology or contact the program office at 979-209-7202.

Sincerely,
Blinn College District – Veterinary Technology
