Criminal Justice

Blinn’s Criminal Justice Program prepares you for a career in law enforcement, corrections, or the court system. In addition to classroom instruction, you receive targeted training to enhance your professional opportunities with local, county, and state agencies.

Our graduates are eligible for a variety of local, state, and federal careers, including law enforcement, investigation, corrections operation, corrections counseling, a variety of court positions, government administration, and probation. Similar careers also are available through private companies.

Through a partnership between Blinn and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Central Texas Police Academy and Texas Forensic Science Academy, you can receive 16-17 weeks of practical training with law enforcement equipment or forensic investigation equipment in addition to the usual classroom instruction. The police academy option prepares students to sit for the peace officer licensing exam.
