Addendum Hempstead High School
ADDENDUM to the MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING for HEMPSTEAD INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT BLINN COLLEGE DISTRICT
This Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding ("Addendum") is made and entered into December 11, 2025 ("Addendum Effective Date") between Hempstead Independent School District ("HISD"), and Blinn College District ("Blinn College").
WHEREAS, Hempstead Independent School District (HISD) and Blinn College District (Blinn College) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), dated April 19, 2021, which established a partnership for dual credit offerings to support higher education goals for HISD students; and
WHEREAS, the agreement allows high school dual-credit students completing courses towards Associate’s and General Education requirements at Blinn College District to also receive high school credit towards graduation; and
WHEREAS, Blinn College District and HISD regularly update crosswalks aligning dual credit courses with state requirements, ensuring credits apply to both high school graduation and college credential pathways; and
WHEREAS, this Addendum adds Appendix D (the "Dual Credit Course Crosswalk") listing applicable courses for high school and college credit, for the benefit of HISD students and the needs of both institutions; and
WHEREAS, this Addendum may be amended in writing, signed by both parties or their authorized representatives, and constitutes an integral part of the MOU as referenced therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, in contemplation of the established partnership under the MOU, the parties hereby agree as follows:
- Appendix D: Dual Credit Course Crosswalk is hereby added to the MOU as of the Addendum Effective Date. The course crosswalk may be updated upon the written agreement of both parties.
- All other terms, conditions, and agreements in the MOU remain in full force and effect unless specifically amended herein.
This Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding is executed by and between the undersigned authorized representatives of Hempstead Independent School District and Blinn College District, effective as of the date set forth below.
