Memorandum of Understanding Between Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District and Blinn College District

Date: 1/6/2026

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is made and entered into as of August 12, 2024 (“Addendum Effective Date”) between Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District (“MCISD”), and Blinn College District (“Blinn”).

WHEREAS, Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District (MCISD) and Blinn College District (Blinn), collectively referred to herein as “the parties,” entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), dated August 12, 2024, which establishes a collaborative partnership to support Madisonville High School (MCISD). Under this agreement, Blinn, through offering traditionally underserved students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credits, will track students’ academic and associate’s and bachelor’s degree attainment. Blinn supports the parties’ collaboration in serving students in grades 6-8, to develop the students’ academic skills, critical thinking, and commitment to careers in higher education and beyond.

WHEREAS, Blinn MCISD and Blinn College District desire to amend the MOU to incorporate the details outlined herein, which is hereby incorporated into the MOU as it will apply to the current student body:

  1. Dual Credit Course Crosswalk is explicitly referenced and attached to this Memorandum of Understanding. In accordance with the originally executed MOU, each participating school district transmits the list of dual credit courses to be offered for dual credit for approval each school year. See the “Appendix D: Dual Credit Course Crosswalk” in the annexed Appendix D for the list of approved courses and credits for this school year.
  2. Courses will be offered in addition to the language in the body of the MOU stating that “students identified as FAST eligible may enroll in additional identified pathways of additional resources required to facilitate dual credit success that will not be the financial responsibility of the District” applies to dual credit courses offered by each district and included in Appendix D.

Except as set forth in this Addendum, the remaining terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding shall remain in full force and effect as executed by the parties.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, each party has caused this Addendum to be executed by its authorized representative.
