Prerequisite semester: BIOL 2401 - A & P I, PSYC 2301 - General Psychology, BIOL 2420 - Microbiology for non-majors, ENGL 1301 - English Comp I (or 1302 - English Comp II)

Core Requirements - Students must complete all Texas General Education Core Curriculum courses before graduating with their degree from LU. Additional Requirements

Students are encouraged to be core complete and must have completed the following prerequisites with a C or higher before enrolling in Nursing courses at LU: BIOL 2421 (Microbiology), NUTR 1322 (Basic Nutrition) and Statistics (MATH 1342 or PSYC 2317).

Lamar University Notes/Comments

Blinn College students entering the LU Program must have earned a C or better in ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302, MATH 1314, MATH 1342, BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2421*, PSYC 2315, NUTR 1322, and all RN-BSN core courses to be accepted and progress in the program.
Blinn College students entering the LU Program must have completed an AAS in Nursing or ADN or a diploma in Nursing from an approved program.
Blinn College students entering LU Program must have proof of current unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the United States or approved United States territory.
*Microbiology requirement - LU will accept BIOL 2420 or BIOL 2421.
