Dual Credit Agreement Addendum
Between Blinn College District and Bryan Collegiate High School

This addendum ("Addendum") is entered into by and between Blinn College District ("Blinn") and Bryan Collegiate High School and incorporates the following language into the existing Dual Credit Agreement without altering any other terms, except as provided herein, within the Agreement:

Financial Aid for Swift Transfer (FAST) Program

The State of Texas has created the Financial Aid for Swift Transfer (FAST) program, which provides funding to colleges so they can offer dual credit courses to educationally disadvantaged students at no cost to these students. The Texas Education Code (TEC) defines "educationally disadvantaged" as those students eligible for the national free/reduced price lunch program. These students are referred to as FAST-eligible students.

Students are "eligible students" for purposes of the FAST program if they are enrolled in a public high school and are enrolled in a dual credit course at a public school district or charter school in the eleventh or twelfth grade for a free or reduced-price lunch, or were educationally disadvantaged during any of the four school years preceding the school year in which the student enrolls in the eligible course, as described by Subdivision (1)(B).

Blinn and Bryan Collegiate High School will work together to identify FAST-eligible students and provide FAST eligibility for each student. For non-FAST eligible students enrolled in Dual Credit, Bryan Collegiate High School will be charged no more than the State of Texas approved tuition rate for concurrent students.

FAST-eligible students will receive study and/or instructional materials required for course completion at no charge. These costs may include course fees, lab fees, LA/course materials, textbooks, supplies, and credentialing fees.

Effective Date

This Addendum is effective upon signature and shall remain in effect throughout the length of the agreement, unless revised by mutual consent.

Acceptance

By their signatures, the duly authorized representatives of each party acknowledge and accept the terms of this Addendum.
